Terms of service
The agreement between you and Irish Passport Advisors, written the way we work: clearly, honestly, and without fine print tricks.
Who we are and what these terms cover
Irish Passport Advisors (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates irishpass.com, a private advisory service that helps families research and prepare applications for Irish citizenship by descent. By using this website, requesting a Free Advisor Review, downloading a guide, or engaging our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. Questions are always welcome at hello@irishpass.com.
We are an independent private company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Government of Ireland, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, or any Irish embassy or consulate. Every application we help prepare is submitted to, and decided by, the Irish authorities alone.
Not legal advice
Nothing on this website, in our guides, in our emails, or in our Free Advisor Reviews constitutes legal advice, and no attorney-client or solicitor-client relationship is created by using our services. We provide general information and administrative guidance: we explain published citizenship rules in plain language, help you identify which documents the authorities ask for, and help you assemble a complete, well-organized application.
Citizenship and immigration rules change, and how they apply depends on the particular facts of your family history. If your situation is legally complex, contested, or time-sensitive, or if you simply want formal legal advice, you should consult a qualified attorney (in Ireland, a solicitor) licensed to advise on Irish citizenship and immigration law. We will tell you honestly when we believe your case needs one.
No guarantee of outcome
Our eligibility assessments reflect our honest reading of the published rules against the family history you share with us. They are informed opinions, not promises. Only the Irish authorities can decide whether citizenship is granted, and processing times, evidentiary requirements, and legal rules can change while an application is pending. We do not guarantee approval, a particular processing time, or any specific result.
Free Advisor Reviews
Our Free Advisor Review is offered free of charge and without obligation. In return, you agree to provide information that is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. An assessment built on incorrect or incomplete family details may be wrong through no fault of ours, so please tell us everything relevant, including anything you are unsure about.
Guides and digital purchases
Our downloadable guides are digital products supplied for your personal, non-commercial use. They are general publications, not advice tailored to your family's circumstances. Because digital files cannot be returned, purchases are generally final once the download is delivered; that said, if a guide fails to deliver, is materially not as described, or otherwise falls short, email hello@irishpass.com within 14 days and we will make it right, including a refund where appropriate. Nothing in these terms limits refund rights you are guaranteed by consumer law where you live.
Service cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling
Each paid service includes a defined scope. The Citizenship Review & DIY Roadmap Kit includes a written review of one person and one direct family line, a personalized document checklist, the self-guided filing kit delivered after that review, and one follow-up review of the questions you send back to us once you have worked through the roadmap. Complete Application Preparation includes one-on-one consultations and rounds of document and form review while your application is being prepared, with email guidance throughout, as set out on its service detail page. The Irish Citizenship Concierge includes unlimited consultations and unlimited rounds of document and form review with your dedicated advisor for as long as your case is active. We do not run a countdown clock on your engagement: Irish records and registry timelines move at their own pace, and your guidance stays open while your case is progressing. Where a package includes a set number of sessions, additional sessions are quoted separately before any extra work begins. First Irish Passport Guidance and the First Irish Passport Guide bundle include advisor availability for questions for 90 days after your passport application is submitted. For the Irish Citizenship Concierge, the included first-passport guidance benefit activates when your Foreign Birth Registration certificate arrives, so it is not consumed by FBR processing time. The scope stated on each service’s detail page at the time of purchase is the scope that applies to your order.
For our paid advisory services (the Citizenship Review & DIY Roadmap Kit, Complete Application Preparation, the Irish Citizenship Concierge, First Irish Passport Guidance, and the First Irish Passport Guide bundle), you may cancel for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided work on your case has not yet begun. Work begins when your advisor holds your first consultation or starts reviewing the family details or documents you have submitted, whichever comes first. In plain terms: if your first consultation has not yet taken place and no document review has started, you are entitled to a full refund within that 14-day window, no questions asked.
Once work has begun, we will refund the unused portion of the service or, if you prefer, credit it toward another of our services. What counts as the unused portion depends on how far your case has progressed, and we will set that out for you in writing before any cancellation is final. If we are ever unable to deliver a service you have paid for, you receive a full refund of that service.
Scheduled consultations can be rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. The upgrade credit described on our pricing page is unaffected by this section: amounts paid for the Citizenship Review & DIY Roadmap Kit are credited in full whenever you decide to upgrade to Complete Application Preparation, with no deadline. Digital guides remain covered by the “Guides and digital purchases” section above. To cancel, reschedule, or ask about a refund, email hello@irishpass.com. Nothing in this section limits refund rights you are guaranteed by consumer law where you live.
Dormant engagements
We do not put a countdown clock on your guidance, but we do need to be able to close files that have gone quiet. If we cannot reach you and you have not responded to our requests for information, documents, or scheduling for twelve consecutive months, we may treat your engagement as dormant. Before doing so we will email the address on your order at least twice, with the second notice clearly stating that your file will be closed if we do not hear back.
Closing a dormant file means we stop active work and stop holding advisor time for it; it does not mean your money disappears. Any unused portion of your fee remains credited to you and can be applied when you are ready to resume, and the Citizenship Review & DIY Roadmap Kit upgrade credit never expires regardless of dormancy. Reopening a dormant file is usually as simple as emailing us; if the published requirements or our pricing have changed in the meantime, we will explain any difference in writing before restarting work. Documents you uploaded are still subject to the retention and deletion timelines described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree to use this site lawfully and honestly: do not submit false information or impersonate another person, do not attempt to probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its data, and do not scrape, resell, or republish our content or guides. We may decline or discontinue service where these terms are abused.

Limits of our responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of this website, our free reviews, or our guides is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the product or service concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as missed travel plans, application fees paid to authorities, or decisions made by the Irish authorities. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, or limits consumer rights that the law guarantees you.
Emails and your information
When you share personal information with us, our Privacy Policy explains how it is handled. Automated emails we send, such as guide previews and follow-up reminders, include an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time without affecting any review or purchase in progress.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time as our services evolve. The date below always reflects the current version, and material changes will be noted prominently on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms were last updated on August 3, 2026.
